Acquiring healthy, tank hardy, and proven colored clams can be a challenge for hobbyists.  Many companies do not like to hold clams for any worthwhile period of time and flip them as quickly as possible.  This is certainly not what is best for the clams or for the buyers.  We go the extra mile by allowing the clams to settle in and acclimate them well to aquarium life.

We hold all clams in our care for 30 to 90 days before offering them for sale.  We monitor them very closely to make sure they are in good health, we work to get them as colorful as possible, and we feed them often. We study what lighting, flow, and placement is best for them. Then, when we list them on our site, we share this info with you! Doing this costs us significantly more, but it gives our buyers the best possible item and the highest chance at success.
